We are a group of
approximately 120 men and women in San Diego County, Calidornia devoted to
gardening. The club has been in existence since 1930 and through the years
has been a focal point for local experts, professionals and hobbyists to exchange information about the art of gardening.
Our knowledge, enthusiasm
and enjoyment are evidenced by the public services we perform.
We
came from many different walks of
life and different states and countries. We are bound together by one
common bond, our love of gardening. We have among our members many
specialists who are available for consultation on a variety of horticultural
areas.
We are an active organization stressing
community involvement and our members participate in projects that
beautify our city and educate our members. The Vista Garden Club is accredited by
the
National Garden Clubs, Inc. and is a Charter member of the
California Garden Clubs, Inc.
and the
Palomar District.
The club also maintains full contributing
memberships in Quail Botanical Gardens,
Alta Vista Gardens
and the
San Diego Floral Association.
