Program Schedule 

Guests are always welcome to these informative programs.  Just show up at the Gloria McClellan Senior Center,  1400 Vale Terrace in Vista CA.    Lunch is at noon, programs follow  a short business meeting and usually start at approximately 1:30pm.

Completed programs will be moved to the bottom of the list so they will always be visible.  The list will start with upcoming programs in date order.

02/05/2010  What's at Canterbury Gardens?

Cindy Valdez will do a floral demonstration and introduce the hidden treasures of Canterbury Gardens.

03/05/2010 Do it yourself creative garden art

Anne Linehan from Setting It in Stone will demonstrate how to make stepping stones and other garden accessories.

04/02/2010  Flower Show Explained--yes, again

 Learn the ins and outs of the upcoming  Flower Show. Both old and new members can benefit from the presentation and make this annual event even better than last year.

Kristine Kotula from the Invasive Plant Society will give a presentation on invasive plants.

09/04/2009 Water Conservation-- gardens really can survive with little water

Vickie Driver from the water conservancy garden at Cuyamaca College will give a presentation featuring low water use in our homes and gardens.

10/02/2009 Alstromeria and other special plants

Liz Youngflesh from Garden Glories Nursery will present a program on the great selection of unusual plants that she propagates at her nursery in Vista.  Come and see what you will not find at Home Depot or Lowe's.

12/04/2009  Meet the Bromeliaceae family--all of them

Jeffery Kent, owner of Kent's Bromeliads, will perform the introductions and present a program on their care, feeding and propagation.

01/08/2010  Floral Design 101 from an expert teacher 

Sonja Longley, Flower Show Judge, well known accomplished designer and long time member of our club will share her expertise.  She will cover the basics of floral design so we can all enter the Flower Show.
