Continuing Projects
Each month members bring
potted plants, seedlings, seeds and cuttings to be sold at bargain prices
to encourage diversification in member gardens.
The club works to improve
landscaping within the city. Maintenance of the
Memorial Grove is an on going activity.
The Library Garden,
which was
designed and installed by the club when the library was built, was
re-landscaped by the City of Vista when the new City Hall was completed.
The Memorial Grove in
Brengle Terrace Park has many varieties of trees planted in memory of departed
club members and their families.
Club members meet at the homes of each other
to propagate plants for sale at the Flower Show and the Plant Table. This
is also a learning activity for inexperienced gardeners to learn the art of
propagation.
