Plant Table
Each month members bring
potted plants, seedlings, seeds and cuttings to be sold at bargain prices
to encourage diversification in member gardens.
Civic Beautification
The club works to improve
landscaping within the city. Maintenance of the Library Garden and the
Memorial Grove is an on going activity.
The Library Garden was
designed and installed by the club when the library was built.
The Memorial Grove in
Brengle Terrace Park has many varieties of trees planted in memory of departed
club members and their families.
How Does Your
Garden Grow
Classes on gardening are offered to children 6 through 12 years of age.
This is a cooperative venture with the city of Vista and registration is through
their Parks and Recreation Department. A variety of hands-on gardening topics
are taught by members of the club.
Dig and Divide
Club members meet at the homes of each other
to propagate plants for sale at the Flower Show and the Plant Table. This
is also a learning activity for inexperienced gardeners to learn the art of
propagation.
